Jackie Barbic (she/her) is a reproductive health care consultant and advocate with over 30 years of experience. She launched Barbic Business Advisors in 2018 as a natural outgrowth of her work as co-founder and executive director of Family Planning Specialists Medical Group (FPS) in Oakland, CA. During her tenure at FPS, which spanned three decades, she oversaw all aspects of the center, including strategic planning, finance, operations, HR, compliance and regulatory requirements, research partnerships, and co-management of clinicians. She was an Institute for Medical Quality surveyor, a member of a team charged with accrediting ambulatory surgery centers to ensure a commitment to patient safety. Jackie also oversaw the creation of the Technical Assistance Divison at Resources for Abortion Delivery, building a department that provided numerous facilities across the United States with financial and operational analysis, as well as project implementation support.

Interested in health care from a young age, Jackie has devoted her career to providing and protecting reproductive rights and care. She has influenced legislation to protect reproductive health clinics’ patients against harassment and frequently speaks at political, legal, and medical events promoting reproductive rights. She is well-known as an innovative, results-oriented director with a focus on strategic outcomes. Skilled at building relationships, cross-functional teams, and community collaborations, she is highly regarded as a capable leader, taking projects from concept to completion within budget, time constraints, and with buy-in from key stakeholders.
